Array Telepresence, a telepresence start up that enables life-size immersive telepresence in conventional conference rooms, was just notified by the US Patent & Trademark Office that it has been awarded its first patent for Dual-Axis Image Equalization in Video Conferencing. Array founder, CEO, and Chief Scientist Herold Williams is the named inventor and the technology, Equalization, is one of the many image improvements that the company’s Image Processor makes to improve the videoconferencing experience.
Array’s award winning $13,995 DX Camera and Image Processor replace the Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera in a traditional videoconferencing system and work together to bring the farthest participants “up-close-and-personal”, Equalize their sizes, improve the eye-line to perfect vertical eye-line, and enable a wide-format super-panoramic view into the remote scene using dual displays and a single videoconferencing codec.
